Empowering Young Students
Good Day Community Center (GDCC) is a newly established cultural hub in central Los Angeles that offers a safe and accessible space for young students struggling to navigate school.
Pilot Program
GDCC has concluded its inaugural intake for its Pilot Program. The Center is proud to host a small group of elementary school aged students, providing them with supplementary English lessons in addition to basic cooking and art classes. These programs are supervised and taught by generous volunteer mentors and tutors who are young professionals in the Los Angeles area.

We don’t run rigid, classroom-style lessons. Instead, we match students with mentors and let each pair interact in the way that feels most natural to them. Students practice and improve their English through real conversations and interactions.
-
Many of our students navigate stress from their school work with family responsibilities. By teaching cooking skills, we help them support their families and foster a healthier home environment.

We nurture our students’ creativity through art lessons ranging from basic color theory to drawing.
